We understand that your life has gotten busy and a bank trip to make a deposit with traditional checks doesn’t always fit into your schedule. It’s for this reason that Minster Bank developed a mobile solution so you can make check deposits using your phone.

How to Complete a Mobile Deposit

1. Enroll in Mobile Banking Service (If You Haven’t Already)

To get started with our Mobile Banking service, you must first enroll in our Online Banking service. If you haven’t done this already, please visit our Online Banking page or contact us so we can give your account the proper permissions for Online Banking.

Once your account has online access, you’ll need to download the Minster Bank Mobile App. Just search “Minster Bank” on Android’s Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Once the download is complete, you will sign in with your Online Banking credentials.

2. Endorse Your Check

Endorsing a check for a mobile deposit is very straightforward. You’ll endorse the check like you would a traditional check with your signature, but just below your signature you’ll need to write “For Mobile Deposit Only.”

Mobile deposit tip: Use a blue or black ink pen when endorsing your check.

3. Take Pictures of Your Check

Take a picture of both the front and back of the traditional check as prompted by the Minster Bank Mobile App. Be sure that you’re in a well-lit area and that your camera is in focus when you take the picture.

To keep track of traditional checks that are already deposited, be sure to write “deposited” on the front of the check.

How Long Until the Deposit is Credited to My Account?

As long as you make the deposit before 3:00 p.m. EST the deposit will be credited the same day. Checks deposited after 3:00 p.m. EST will be credited to the account the next business day. You can deposit up to $2,500 per day online. Please visit a Minster Bank location if you need to make a deposit larger than $2,500.

After the Deposit, Should I Hold on to My Traditional Check?

Yes. After the deposit posts to your Minster bank account, we recommend holding on to the check for 14 days. After the 14 days have passed, safely destroy the check.
