Minster Bank and the Western Ohio Home Builders Association have teamed up once again for the Parade of Homes, which will feature 10 homes around the Miami Valley.
From noon to 4 p.m. October 17 and 18, you’ll have the chance to walk through the 10 beautiful homes on the tour during this free event, talk to various representatives and builders, and enter to win door prizes. All COVID-19 precautions will be followed to ensure a safe event.
The Parade of Homes is just one event in a continuous partnership between Minster Bank and the Western Ohio Home Builders Association. Read on to learn more about the event and this relationship.
2020 Parade of Homes
The Parade of Homes is typically held each year in the spring. Due to COVID-19, the event was pushed back. This year, the 10 homes, from Sidney to Tipp City, are each sponsored by local businesses. Minster Bank is the title sponsor, so several homes will have representatives available to answer questions.
Even if the featured homes are out of your budget, or you’re just not looking to buy right now, visiting the Parade of Homes can help provide inspiration for your next renovation or redecorating project. All homes will be fully decorated and staged to help spark ideas for visitors.
“We know from past experience that the public is very excited to see these houses, and we’ve had a lot of phone calls already,” said Donna Cook, executive director of the home builders association. “They’re excited to get out and see what the newest innovations are – what’s new in countertops, kitchen design, decorating, paint color.”
A Continuous Partnership with Minster Bank
“Our partnership with Minster Bank provides an opportunity for people looking to build their dream home to learn more about getting a mortgage,” said Cook. “We’ve always had a really good relationship with the loan officers at Minster Bank and they provide a great service.”
Commercial lender Jerry Herbe works directly with builders, and consumers who are looking to get a loan would work with Beth Peters, Kathy Vukovic or Rhonda Keister.
Thanks in part to Minster Bank, Cook said she and the association are excited to once again host this event for 2020.
“We are really excited that we’re able to open up these houses to the public and showcase what the builders have been working on all summer long,” she said. “We’re going to welcome people back to some sense of normalcy.”
